Early Care, Education & Intervention

Early Care, Education and Early Intervention features 5 STAR quality child care and preschool programs offered in nurturing environments at PlayWorks and Learning Partners Child Centers.  In addition, the Center’s Family, Infant and Toddler Program provides developmental services for children with medical conditions or developmental delays. 

Child Centers

PlayWorks and the Learning Partners Child Centers aim to provide children a nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. Hands-on learning facilitated by caring teachers is intended to develop creativity and self-esteem. Early care and education are fostered through both understanding and respect for the child and family. Parents are encouraged to work in partnership with the teachers to provide an atmosphere that is inviting for children and parents alike. The goal is to provide children with exciting new experiences based not on formal academics, but on the principle that play is the child's work.

Playworks Child Center is for children 6 weeks to 8 years and is located at SAPCC at 2 Main Street in North Springfield. Open M-F, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. For more information call Rose Worden at (802) 886-5242 x287.

Learning Partners Child Center is for children 6 weeks to 6 years. Open M-F, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. LPCC is located in the Howard Dean Education Center at 307 South Street in Springfield. Accredited by the NAEYC Academy for Early Childhood Accreditation.

Family, Infant, Toddler Program

SAPCC’s Family, Infant and Toddler Program provides developmental services for children with medical conditions or developmental delays. This is a home visiting program. For more information call 886-5242.
