Springfield Area Parent Child Center

The New Building

As successful as we have been, we simply no longer have enough space at our Main Street headquarters to accommodate everyone.

Responding to the challenge, our board has approved plans to build a new 12,000 square foot headquarters building on the lot next door. This will effectively double the size of our existing space and allow us to expand our services to an additional 1,500 families and their children in the next three years.

The new building will cost $4 million. Some $3 million will come from loans, mortgages and public grants. The rest—a total of $1 million—must come from the charitable gifts of those who believe that the work that we do is important to the continued strength and vitality of the towns and villages of southern Vermont.

The new building has been designed by Samuel M. Purvis Architects of Woodstock, Vermont. The Purvis name is well-known in northern New England for the construction and renovation of a wide range of public and private buildings. Click the thumbnails above to see views of the new building.
